About me
Healing often begins when we feel safe enough to be heard.
Hello, I’m Veena, a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), membership number 420546. I’m an integrative counsellor with a person-centred foundation, offering a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever has brought you to therapy.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the University of Warwick and have experience supporting adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties and complex life experiences.
My practice is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive and neuro-affirming. I believe every person’s story is unique, and I tailor therapy to your individual needs, working at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
Alongside my clinical work, I have a particular professional interest in chronic health conditions. My university research explored how long-term health conditions can influence the therapeutic relationship, deepening my understanding of the emotional and psychological impact of living with ongoing illness. I also facilitate a support group in Coventry for people navigating chronic health conditions and the impact on their sense of self.
As a British Asian counsellor, I understand the importance of culture, identity and belonging. I am also a Practitioner Member of the Black, African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN), reflecting my commitment to culturally informed and anti-oppressive practice. I aim to provide an inclusive space where every client feels respected, understood and valued.
